| The Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum's latest exhibition will be a big hit with junior dinosaur enthusiasts as well as anyone who wants to know more about these extraordinary creatures.
This remarkable exhibition offers an astounding array of dinosaur eggs and nests collected from all over the globe - including those of each major plant and meat-eating dinosaur group. The exhibition outlines new discoveries about dinosaur reproduction and behaviour. It introduces visitors to some of the fascinating people and science behind these discoveries.
This multi-media experience invites dinosaur enthusiasts to take a rare and exciting look at the life of dinosaurs through their eggs, nests and embryos. The scientific significance of dinosaur eggs, when and where they have been found and how researchers learn from their contents is encapsulated in the exhibition. A captivating experience for all ages, Hatching the Past invites visitors to touch real dinosaur bones and reconstructed nests, dig for eggs and experience hands-on exploration stations.
Hatching the Past: Dinosaur Eggs and Babies is open everyday from 25 July to 8 November 2009, 10am to 4pm Monday - Saturday, 10am - 2pm Sunday. Free after Musuem admission. Museum Entry is $8 for adults, $6 Concession, children under 16 $4, family $20 (two adults and three children).
